ALVH- Henry Sturges X Reader pt18

“Over here” Henry said gesturing for you to fallow him as he offered you a hand to get up onto the cart he was on, which you appreciated. The two of you hurried to the engine of the train and saw Abe enter the cart that was right after the on that held the coal to feed the engine. Henry held you close to him as he hopped down to the door that had closed mere seconds ago.

He opened it and you saw Abe turning toward the two of you, his ax already above his head ready to strike. His face softened and he lowered his ax with an exasperated sigh. “Henry what the Hell are you doing here?” he demanded, anger evident in his voice, he noticed you there and frowned, “Why did you bring [Name] with you?” he questioned.

“We just wanted to see how far your foolishness would take you” Henry mocked, not giving you a chance to clarify.

“I don’t have time to argue with you” Abe said only to Henry as he tried to stay calm; he turned away from the two of you and placed his ax over a barrel in the dusty compartment. Most likely, to keep from upsetting you if he accidentally chopped Henry’s face off.

“We didn’t come here to argue” Henry corrected, including you in the matter at hand. “We came to tell you that, you’re dear friend Speed back there, is a traitor” he finished sounding very dramatic. Abe turned to look at the two of you as he put on his jacket and laughed to himself.

You weren’t sure if it was because he knew something the tow of you didn’t or if he just found the idea so ridiculous and was in denial. “He betrayed you Abe” Henry continued, trying to get Abe to see reason, “Speed is leading-“

“You have no idea what you’re talking about” Abe said, his cheery mode gone after he pushed away Henry’s tap on the shoulder.

“Abe” you said, stepping closer to him, “Speed betrayed you” you said slowly, “We- well I received an invitation form Adam and Henry decided to use this opportunity to gain some information on a lead Henry had gotten” you took out the invitation and handed it to Abe so he could see it. “Henry found a telegram that said that Speed was leaking information to Adam” you finished.

“And what the hell were you there?! You could have been killed [Name] and turned into a vampire” Abe shouted at you like you were and idiot; then he turned to glare at Henry, “She’s going to die one of these days because of you”

You saw Henry’s jaw clench at the mention of you dying and becoming what he was. You didn’t mind all that much, but it wasn’t something you would hate but you knew you wouldn’t love it. And knowing Henry, he would blame himself if anything ever happened to you; but then tension in the atmosphere was almost suffocating and you spoke again. “Are you not going to listen to reason Abraham?” you questioned, “The evidence is obviously-“

You stopped speaking when you heard multiple thumps above you and turned to look up at the wooden ceiling then slowly turned in the direction of the footsteps from above. Your eyes widened in panic, you hadn’t expected Adam’s goonies to have caught up so quickly. Then you jumped when you heard the multiple shots coming from the next cart down.

“You must get of this train” Henry warned Abe, who was also looking in the direction that the shot were coming from.

“No” Abe said turning to look down at Henry, “You must get off this train. This is not your war Henry and dragging [Name] into this will not end well for either of you”

“I chose to come along Abe” you cut in, anger in your voice, “I do not get dragged along and nothing ever ends well for me so I doubt this will make much of a difference” you said and took out your pistols and ignored Henry’s jaw clenching once again.

The other door opened and you spun around ready to shoot only to put your guns away  as you saw it  was Will, you saw he was limping as he moved towards Abe, “They’re here Abe” he said, breathing heavily, “the whole heap load” Will said as he reloaded his pistol. Abe moved away from Henry and toward Will, his ax in his hand, “You can’t let them stop this train” Will added.

“You go through there and you’re dead” Henry said, sounding desperate. Abe stopped for a moment to look at Henry, “Get out now, it’s your last chance” he added but Abe turned away and Will fallowed behind him. Will looked at you to come along but you looked over to Henry who, obviously, wanted to leave with him. “[Name]… please” he said turning you so you could look at him and holding you in place. “I’m sorry Henry” you whispered and looked to the floor, “But this is a cause I support and am willing to die for. And if I do die… it’s not your fault” you said, looking up at him and into his beautiful chocolaty brown eyes that made you want to punch him in the face from how beautiful they were.

“But I am not willing to let you die” he said, leaning closer to you, his voice barely above a whisper. “Then I’ll just have to give it my all then” you countered, giving a confident smile in hopes to lighten the situation. Henry gave a dejected sigh and stepped away from you.

Just as you were about to leave, you felt yourself being spun around and kissed hard on the lips, if took you less than a second to kiss back. His lips hungrily kissing you lips; he put his hands on your lower back and pushed you closer to him. You moved your hands up to the back of his head and dug your hands in you his hair. His tongue flicked over the bottom lip begging for entrance. You opened your mouth and gave it to him, his tongue moving in the hot cavity that was your mouth and exploring its new surroundings. He moaned as he felt your tongue against his as the two battled for dominance. His hips jerked forward, grinding against you making you moan and then he groaned in response making you shiver.

But then a realization came over you and you pulled away after you found yourself needing air and you rested you head in the crook of Henry’s neck both of you panting for air. You silently took out on you your pistols and clicked it when you pointed it to the side of Henry’s head and stepped back. He gave a dry laugh. “You selfish bastard” you sneered.

“If you think that kiss is going to make me abandon this train then you have got another thing coming” you said and slowly stepped away from him but continued to point the gun to him, but your eyes widened when you heard him laughing. “I don’t you’ll shoot me [Name]” he said, and you noticed how much messier his hair looked after you had put your hands through it and you couldn’t help but think how you must look.

“Try me Sturges” You sneered.

“Oh but I already have” he said, sounding very cocky, “and I would love” he said with a purr in his voice as his eyes you up and down, eyes filled with lust “to try some more of you” his gaze finally settling on your face.

You felt your face heat up, “YOU-“ you said put found yourself not being able to finish, instead you stopped forward and pointed the gun under his chin, “I promise I will come back if you promise to do some trying when this is over” you said in a low voice.

“If you keep acting like this, it will be rather hard to keep myself from doing so right now” he said in a low husky voice that made your breathe hitch and he smirked, “But it’s a promise I intend to keep” he said, back to his usual cold persona. You backed away towards the door and found yourself hitting on of the crates and making you very flustered, “I hate you” you muttered.

“It’s really quite the opposite though” he said, smugly and you wished you could shoot him then and there, but you got to the door and opened it and turned to leave but turned to look back at Henry, who had already turned to go to the other cart.

“I wasn’t going to shoot you” you said, making Henry turn around and look at you oddly. “The safety clip was in it anyways” you added and flopped the gun around aimlessly. Henry knew this was your way of apologizing and couldn’t help but give a small smile. “Just make sure you take it out” he said as he turned and continued to walk.


You left the dusty cart with the new motivation of… well you know and climbed up to the top of the cart. As you got there you saw will turning the break of the train back so it would continue going at full speed. You jogged over there and saw a vampire about to attack him, “WILL” you yelled, hoping he would do something but he had no weapon. And your legs couldn’t carry you any faster as you heard him yelling.

But then you heard a shot fired and saw Abraham holding his ax with the side this the hidden riffle up. You let out a relieved sigh and got to where the two of them were. But then you spotted another vampire climbing up the side of the cart and you assumed Will had seen it too since he bolted up and took Abe’s ax ad ran at it. He cut down it’s chest then kicked him back and then slashed its neck, destroying it.

You turned around to see another vampire coming toward an unarmed Abe and shot it twice in the head and kicked it’s stomach and watched as it toppled off the train. Then you heard a loud hiss behind you and spun around to see Abe with his ax again as he fought off another vampire. “Will” you called and he turned to look at you as you tossed your pistols toward him. You flicked your wrists to reveal to short blades that where hidden in the gauntlets under your shirt.

You quickly stabbed the vampire’s abdomen multiple times until he crippled over. You grabbed him by the shirt and slashed his neck, coating your hands with its black blood. As Will and Abe took care of the other vampire that were quickly coming against the three off you. You slipped on the silver coated brass knuckles that you had in your pockets and punched one in the face, it stumbled back and Abe cut its head clean off.

Abe turned around to attack the next vampire but his ax was stopped and you Adam standing right there. He noticed you and gave you a cold smile and kicked Abe right past you and you turned to see him fall in the metal net between the two carts. You turned back to Adam, only to see him break Abe ax in two and throw it off the train.

You were about to run at Adam with your short blades but Will shouted for you to move and he threw a blade that Adam easily dodges. Since that didn’t work, Will ran forward with the pistols you had given him but Adam kneed his stomach and threw Will making him land on his back and he began to slide of the train but Abe managed to get there before you and held him from falling.

You stood there motionless as Adam strode over to where Abe was, with his back turned and trying to save Will. You ran forward with your short blades but Adam grabbed hold of your hands and spun you around so that you were resting you back on his chest. He leaned near your neck and you closed your eyes, expecting him to bite you but-

“Do you see it now?” he questioned, “Where is your beloved Henry now Ms. [last name]?” he mocked.

You said nothing and in his anger he grabbed you by the back of your shirt and slammed you head against the wooden cart and walked away from you. Everything sounded like a loud buzzing sound and your vision was blurry; you tried to stand but couldn’t and stumbled to fall on your side. Then you felt someone moving you and your head snapped up to see Henry. Then you felt something cold on you back as you were placed down and you watched a he hurried away.
